What comes to mind when you see or hear the word “dream”? I, for one, don’t remember my dreams so it’s like I don’t dream at all. So, when I saw the this daily prompt word a couple of days ago, it got me thinking about this word.
Does it describe the brain activity that occurs during sleep? Or the brief escape to one’s “perfect” place, as in a day dream?
Is a dream the same as a goal, i.e., dream job, dream car, dream vacation, the American Dream, etc.? If so, does a dream come true once the goal is achieved? Like the lyrics of the song, Dream On, by Aerosmith: “Dream on, dream on, dream on, dream until your dreams come true”.
What is your dream?
So here it is, the first blog post. How many of you have read or written this sentence before? Well, for some unknown reason I have wanted to join the world of bloggers for some time now. But I thought, “what do I have to offer that others might find interesting”? What will I write about when I’m the one who usually stands back, listens and takes in conversations? Finally, I decided, why not give blogging a try.
So what am I going to blog about? At this moment I haven’t exactly figured that out. Most likely, I will write about thoughts, ideas or things I observe that have my attention at a specific moment. Hence, the blog name eyetomind. Who knows how or what this blog will develop into, but at least I’m trying something that is out of my comfort zone.
Thanks for taking the time to read this inaugural blog post. Take care and have a great day.
